Ten years ago, January 1999. I staged a party at Jermyn Street Theatre
in London's hip, fashionable Jermyn Street. Just down from the famous
and legendary Tramps nightclub by Fortnum&Mason store off Piccadilly Circus.

As I jumped off the escalator stairs at Piccadilly Circus underground
station at 11:00am one hour before the start of the party. My pager
went off. It was Emily Sheffield from London Evening Standard's
''Life&Style'' column. Emily (now Deputy Editor of UK Vogue) had
heard about the party and wanted to come.

Not only did Emily attend. I persuaded her to write a piece in the
paper the following week which took up two pages. A double page
spread with the heading ''WE JUST WANNA BE RICH AND FAMOUS''.
Actress/Presenter/Model Kelly Brook then nineteen, was among
those featured in the article. Capital Radio's Johnny Vaughan was
also included as Kelly was taking over at The Big Breakfast
television programme.

Actually the party was for the dummy of CAS LONDON magazine
www.caslondon.com which I had started to research.

People attended from MTV Europe, Vogue, BBC Radio One,
Capital Radio, BBC Television, Channel 4, Choice FM, Kiss FM,
Elite Premier Models, ITV, Major record labels, Management
companies, leading publicists from PR agencies and some of
London's top Advertising Agency executives.

So long before Oprah Winfrey's O magazine and Jamie Oliver's
recent launch JAMIE. I had hatched a plan to publish a glossy,
basically a cross between Vogue www.vogue.com and VIBE
www.vibe.com which was founded by the producer and musician
Quincy Jones. My main inspiration was the late Malcolm Forbes
FORBES magazine.

Now I am finally ready to go to print with a bi-monthly twenty page
glossy teaser due out on Monday 27th July 2009.
I plan a party for the full magazine on Wednesday 7th April 2010
at the luxury boutique; The Mountbatten Hotel, 20 Monmouth
Street, Seven Dials, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9HD.
Opposite The Cambridge Theatre. A few tickets for the party
which includes food and drink are available.

My first full issue is published on Wednesday 7th April 2010 with
160 pages planned and a print run of 150,000. I am sending a
team of hipsters to The Cannes Film Festival in May 2009.
So the July 2009 teaser issue should be something to look
forward to also with a print run of 150,000 copies.

The big stories in the July issue includes a well researched
article on Ian Fleming, the creator of James Bond. Plus we
hear from some of London's top literary agents and publishers
about the secrets behind getting your book published. What
do they look for in a manuscript to keep them turning the pages.

Also we look at the state of the music industry. Production,
reproduction and consumption. In particular the effect of the
advent of the internet on music marketing and distribution.

Fashion Passion is our look at the global fashion industry.
With an in-depth look at the effect on luxury brands of
the global economic downturn.

Finally we focus on what's happening at some of the leading
international showbiz, music, film, entertainment, arts, fashion
and media blogs.
