There is now a groundswell desire for innovation, leadership, partnership and success in educating, parenting and supporting Black boys. I have been humbled by the calibre of individuals who want to work with us, support us, wish us well and are doing so. This includes politicians, celebrities, academics, mainstream education, churches, community leaders, parents and ultimately Black boys… they are with us all the way.

This conference will also incorporate the presentation of two categories of the annual Black Boys Can National Awards, i.e. the Black Boys of Distinction  awards and the  Parents of Distinction Awards. These prestigious awards are designed to recognise and celebrate Black boys achievements and the contributions their parents have made to their success. We particularly welcome nominations for academic achievement, behavioural improvements and social achievements.
