The Nationwide
Community and Heritage Award
Enid Roberts wins Nationwide Community and Heritage Award
On the 17th July at Reading Town Hall, the Nationwide and Community Awards
took place. An invited audience of over 150 people from community and
heritage projects in the south east gathered to congratulate and celebrate
with the regional winners.
The Nationwide Community and Heritage Award recognise the contribution made
by volunteers to community projects. Enid was nominated by a project member
who was impressed with her commitment to the project and the invaluable
contribution that she has made and continues to make to the project success.
A judging panel, consisting of a representative from the Heritage Lottery
Fund, a representative from Business in the Community and an employee of the
Nationwide Building Society, judged the regional award. Enid was a selected
as a finalist and won in the Individual heritage category for the south east
region
